Kate Spade Book Clutches

I've admired these Kate Spade book clutches ever since I first heard about them.  I think it's wonderful the many ways in which you can be a librarian in style these days.  Although it's the perfect addition to my wardrobe, there are two things holding me back from purchasing one.

1.  I would be breaking my New Year's Resolution of only shopping second hand a mere 11 days in.  I am determined to see this one through!

2. At $325 each, I would never be able to afford one anyway.

I smell a DIY project brewing.  A homemade book cluch...hmm...this sounds like the perfect winter weekend craft!
