For the Love of Straw

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

I can't wait for warm spring winds and sunshine and an excuse to wear straw hats out and about.  So far, I have a floppy straw hat that I used at band camp in high school (I played the alto saxophone!) and a safari straw hat (because you never know when you might need one!)  What I'd really like now is a straw boater hat, but the cheapest one I could find on Etsy was $100! Maybe I'll look out and find one in a thrift store...otherwise I might have to wait until my birthday in May and cross my fingers that someone reading this will surprise me with a cheaper version from a retail store...hint, hint.

Also, I love hay bales.

Also, this post was inspire by this post over at Custard Heart Vintage.  I just love how Maria mixes beautiful photographs of nature in with her shop updates! :)

  3. I'm always on the lookout for straw boaters for the shop-- if I find a cute one I promise to tell you first and it won't be $100, believe me!

  4. Ooo! I own a hat that's almost identical to the first image! I love it and it only cost me $5!

  5. Libby I found the listing for one of the boaters I sold last year-- I don't think I'll ever find another that unique:

I hope that Dan, I mean "someone", gets you one for your birthday!

  6. i love straw hat!
and the scenery is so pretty

  7. These pictures are beautiful and make me want to be outside asap. (preferably where its warm and sunny lol)

  8. Nothing says summertime at the cabin like straw hats! Now I can hardly wait :) Thanks for stopping by my blog- I do have somewhat of a MN accent, but not as strong/ cute as some that I've heard :)

  9. I love my straw hat! It's kinda hippy'ish with a LARGE brim. It was originally handcrafted for some music production back in the 80's. My music teacher came across it and gave it to me!

Hay bales are so fun try walking along them as the roll...

  10. I love straw hats and thanks God where I live I can use it almost all the year long :) I'm in love with the one in the 4th pic it's adorable.
