Cameos and Cream

This past weekend was the best weekend for vintage I've had so far! Not only did three of my Etsy orders arrive in the mail, but I also had wonderful luck and the Salvation Army and Thrifty Shopper.  To top it all of, Dan's mother invited me over to look through and keep some of his grandmother's jewelry and clothing.  It was so wonderful! She gave me the warm sweater I'm wearing here, which they believe may have come from Ireland (where his grandmother was born), the cameo necklace I'm wearing here, the forget-me-not necklace from yesterday's post, and the cape from yesterday's post.  And that's not all! I got even more jewelry, which I will be sharing just as soon as I get a chance! It was a vintage lover's dream come true!

  1. yup, that looks like a genuine aran wool sweater to me! i consider myself somewhat of an authority since my husband is Irish (ha!ha!).

i didn't even trip about our posts being similar -- I just used google images for those bales o' hay so it's all fair game-- you are very sweet to be concerned though and thanks for the credit, though I really don't deserve it. :) (but I'll take it hee hee!)

  16. So I'm a horrible person and have only sent out your dress today. Good news is, I sent you a little something extra as compensation. Sorry! I've been swamped with my grad school work. :( So so sorry!

  19. I love your cute little smile. I would be smiling like that too if I hit the vintage jackpot. :D I love it when vintage finds its way into my life from unusual ways. It makes me think that me and whatever amazing piece I find were destined to be together, you know? You look just darling in your little hat and cameo broach. Sweet!
    XOXO
